(KMOV.com) -- Police have arrested a woman accused of stabbing her 60-year-old aunt to death in a Ferguson apartment.
Rhonda Rhodes, 50, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
Authorities said a maintenance worker was walking through the Parkridge Apartments in the 1300 block of Sharondale Cir. around 8 a.m. Thursday when he noticed a resident’s door open.
Police said he looked inside and found the body of Bernice Winston . Initial reports show she was fatally stabbed.
Authorities questioned Rhodes, who lived with Winston, immediately after the body was found. Charges were filed Thursday afternoon.
Rhodes remains in custody on a $250,000 bond.
