Police investigating theft of $4,000 worth of guns, jewelry in Jefferson County

(KMOV) – Police in Jefferson County are investigating a residential burglary that resulted in the loss of $4,000 worth of guns and jewelry.

According to authorities, the suspect(s) cut through a screen and got in through the unlocked bedroom window of the home located along Klondike Road in the Hillsboro Area.

A 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun, a .38 Special, and a diamond ring are among the items reportedly taken from the home.

Police have not made any arrests thus far.

The investigation is ongoing.
