FENTON, Mo (KMOV.com) -- Just after 2 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a store on Gravois Road in Fenton, after employees there reported a case of burglary.
After reviewing surveillance footage, officers were able to determine two suspects entered the business just after midnight.
The unidentified suspects had used a key to enter the building and stolen 10-15 cartons of miscellaneous brand cigarettes. The investigation determined a former employee had failed to turn in a key in a timely manner, and a copy of the key could have been made in that time.
Police went to the employee’s address, and she denied any involvement. The investigation is ongoing.
