Police investigating 2 overnight smash and grabs

(KMOV.com) – Police were investigating two smash and grabs Friday morning.

Overnight, thieves hit Forever Young Beauty Supply in the 3600 block of South Grand.Police say that three men wearing dark hoodies, masks and gloves stole a large quantity of hair extensions.

Officers responding to the scene spoke with a witness who reported that a silver, two-door, truck backed through the front of the store. The witness told police that a second vehicle, a silver Kia Sportage, was nearby. Both vehicles were reported to have fled the scene going north on Grand.

Less than an hour later, a Foot Locker was hit in the 4100 block of Lindell Boulevard in the Central West End. An unknown number of suspects reportedly drove a vehicle through the rear wall of the store. Police are not sure how much was stolen from the Foot Locker, but debris was scattered throughout nearby streets.
