(KMOV.com) -- Carlinville police have arrested a man for charges relating to the production of methamphetamine.

Reports indicate that during a routine check by the Carlinville Police and the Corrections-Parole Division, a meth lab was discovered in the home of Denzil W. Ridenour, Jr. Police say they also discovered meth-making materials during the routine “knock and talk" at 525 West 1st South Street.

Ridenour, 44, was charged with one count of unlawful production of methamphetamine and one count of unlawful possession of meth ingredients and materials.

Bond has been set at $75,000 for the defendant as he awaits trial in the Macoupin County jail.
