Officials say 46-year-old Juliette Cleveland-Davis, of the 5900 block of Highland, was walking with her three grandchildren, ages 7, 5, and 4, in the 1900 block of Hodiamont, when Dora Owens starting firing shots at a group of people. Cleveland-Davis was shot in the chest. She was transported to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say Cleveland-Davis yelled at her grandkids to run. The grandkids returned to the scene with her husband who claims Cleveland-Davis died in his arms.

Police say the victim’s grandchildren were uninjured and returned to their guardians.

The investigation is ongoing.
