ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV) – Police say a female patient at CentrePointe Hospital in St. Charles assaulted a staff member, breaking her collarbone after jumping on her.

Patsha Ramsey, 18, was charged Wednesday with second-degree assault.

According to deputies, Ramsey was at the hospital on Dec. 22 when she jumped on the staff member, pulled her hair and threatened to kill her.

She then wrapped her legs around the staff member’s body. Deputies said it took several other hospital employees to get Ramsey off the victim.

Employees later told police Ramsey threatened to return to the hospital and shoot all of the staff.

According to a police report, Ramsey’s doctor said she fully understands her actions.

She’s been transferred to a jail in St. Francois County, where she was wanted on a previous third-degree assault charge in Farmington.

Ramsey’s bail was set at $50,000.
