Police: Suspect identified for stabbing near downtown St. Louis Library

(KMOV) – Investigators have a identified a suspect in connection with the downtown St. Louis Library stabbing that killed a man on Wednesday. 

Investigators are looking for 46-year-old Gary Guiden. Guiden is accused of stabbing Jeronnia Graves, 41, near 13th and Olive Wednesday morning. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Library spokesman Gerald Brooks told The Associated Press that the attack involved a jealous ex-boyfriend who saw his former girlfriend with another man.  

He emphasized that the incident "had nothing to do with the library but just happened outside on our sidewalk."

Anybody with tips on Guiden’s whereabouts is asked to call the St. Louis police.
