(KMOV.com) – Police told News 4 they caught the suspect who led them on a chase through north St. Louis County Tuesday afternoon.

St. Ann police said an officer tried to pull over a suspect who was wanted in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation but police said the suspect sped onto I-270 and then onto I-170 where police believe he dumped cocaine on the road.

Authorities told News 4 he then exited onto a street in Kinloch before he crashed near the intersection of Monroe and Courtney. Police said the car ended up in the backyard of a house before the suspect tried to run, but police said they quickly caught him.

Police said nobody was injured. Authorities said they intend to seek charges against the suspect.
