SHILOH, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- A St. Louis man was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing numerous items from a Metro-East grocery store, then giving police a fake name.

Police say William Sackman, 59, was caught stealing 10 containers of infant formula, 18 bottles of liquor, ribs and other merchandise from a Dierberg's at 4000 Greenmount Crossing Dr. in Shiloh, Ill.

Sackman, a resident of the 2900 block of Flame Tree Dr. in St. Louis, has been charged with retail theft, a class 3 felony, and obstructing identification.

According to Shiloh police, he knowingly gave a false name to an officer.

Sackman is being held at St. Clair County Jail for want of bond, which has been set at $75,000.
