(KMOV) – Police have charged a woman they say used other people’s identities to obtain painkillers from several pharmacies in St. Charles County.
Mindi Wyatt, 39, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.
According to police, between Jan. 27, 2012 and March 13, 2012, Wyatt used fake prescriptions and other people’s information to get hydrocodone 11 times from pharmacies in St. Charles, St. Peters and O’Fallon.
Wyatt was caught after an employee of an O’Fallon Walgreens contacted police on March 23 about a questionable prescription.
Police said Wyatt later admitted to being addicted to the drug, saying she used 15 different people’s info to get the prescriptions.
Her bail was set at $15,000.
