(KMOV) – Police are seeking help from the public to locate a person of interest wanted in an investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident in Chesterfield Wednesday morning.
Authorities say 41-year-old Roy Joseph was walking along Olive Blvd. just west of River Valley Dr. when he was struck. That’s about a mile west of Highway 141.
Physical evidence at the scene and subsequent investigation led detectives to a 2004 Pearl white Toyota Sienna mini-van owned by Yelena Pelts, 54, of Chesterfield.
Joseph was found lying in the snow around 7 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Any persons who may know the whereabouts of Pelts, or have information as to her activities on February 12, 2014 are asked to contact the Chesterfield Police Department Detective Bureau 636-537-3000.
