(KMOV) – Police are looking for a suspect who was the victim of an apparent random shooting at his south St. Louis home late Wednesday night.

Police said the 32-year-old victim heard a knock on his front door in the 3900 block of Chippewa around 11:40 p.m.

Authorities said the man opened the door and was shot twice in the neck by an unknown suspect.

The victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Police did not have any information on a suspect.
