Police: Man, woman accused in fatal shooting in St. James

(KMOV.com) – Police said they arrested two suspects in connection with a murder in St. James.

Oryon Guinn, 29, and Chelsea Maxfield, 31, both of St. James have been charged with first degree murder and assault.

Police said they responded to a call from a house on Piazza Road in St. James around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities said when they arrived they found two victims who had been shot, one was alive and was one dead. Authorities said the suspects had already left the scene, but the living victim was able to provide them with the culprits' names. He was then taken to a local hospital.

Police said they later spotted both suspects on the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant near St. James where they were arrested. According to police, the gun that was used in the shooting was found on lying on the parking lot. 

Both suspects are currently sitting in the Crawford County Jail on $1 million bond.
