(KMOV.com) – A Granite City man is accused of possessing marijuana and a controlled substance.

22-year-old Brandon Hull has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis.

Authorities said a police officer spotted Hull walking along Maryville Road near W. Chain of Rocks Road in Granite City Saturday. Authorities said he then proceeded to enter a nearby trailer park where the officer found him standing between two trailers.

According to police, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana and began to question him. Authorities said Hull admitted to possessing the drug. The officer then searched Hull and found marijuana, the controlled substance Alprazolam, and other drug paraphernalia.

Hull is being held at the Madison County Jail. Bond has been set at $15,000.
