(KMOV) – A man who allegedly prompted a lock down at schools and a movie theatre in Des Peres Wednesday has been caught.

Joseph Lohmuller, 22, faces domestic assault charges after he allegedly got into an argument with his mother while armed and then ran off. Police said his disappearance led to a day-long manhunt.

Police said at one point the suspect called his mother and told her he was at the Wehrenberg Des Peres Cinema on Manchester Rd. Authorities contacted the theatre, which then went on lockdown. Nearby, St. Paul’s Lutheran's north and south campus and St. Clements Catholic School were also placed on lockdown at one point as a precaution.

Authorities said Lohmuller was eventually caught at the intersection of Clayton Hills and Cedar Valley near Interstate 270.
