(KMOV.com) – St. Louis County police have charged two men with using a stolen driver’s license to obtain a fraudulent library card.

According to police, 31-year-old Kavon Porshahidy and 24-year-old John Kannady used the library card to check out video games, CDs and DVDs from various St. Louis County libraries and sold the items for cash.

Authorities say the pair ended up stealing more than $600 worth of items from the Weber and Cliff Cave branches.

In total, 38 items were taken and sold by the men.

Police documents state officers believe Porshahidy was selling items to support his heroin habit. Both men are charged with felony stealing.
