(KMOV) – Police hope surveillance photos will help them catch a suspect who robbed a north St. Louis bank branch on Tuesday.

According to police, a man entered the PNC Bank at N. Grand and Carter around 1 p.m. and passed a note to the teller announcing a robbery.

The suspect indicated he had a weapon, though he never showed one. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 40s with a medium build and short hair. He was also wearing dark skull cap during the robbery.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being given for tips leading to an arrest. Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (866) 371-TIPS.
