(KMOV) – A St. Louis man is accused of getting medical care at a local VA Hospital using a fake identity.
Jerome Hunter, 46, was charged with two counts of theft of government funds and one count of aggravated identity theft.
According to the indictment, Hunter got medical care from a St. Louis VA hospital for more than three months in 2009 while using someone else’s name.
In addition to the latest charge, Hunter is in custody awaiting trial for first-degree child molestation.
If convicted, Hunter could be sentenced up to 22 years in prison and up to $750,000 in fines.
