(KMOV) -- Warrants have been issued for a man who allegedly robbed a couple at gunpoint walking near Washington Avenue. It happened in the 1500 block of St Charles Street, one block south of Washington Avenue around 12:30 a.m on December 4.
Tevan L. Wright, 18, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.
Wright allegedly took the woman's engagement ring, other jewelry, phone and purse. The victims said he didn't cover his face, but told them not to look at him.
The couple says they were walking west on St. Charles when they noticed a white Dodge Intrepid traveling the wrong way. The driver asked the pedestrians for directions, then stepped out of the vehicle, pointed a gun at the man and woman, and demanded their property.
The victim described the engagement ring as having a high setting with a white gold band. The robber also took a Tiffany ring with the words "Paloma Picasso" engraved on the interior of the band.
According to court records, the victim's monogrammed money clip and credit cards were found in the vehicle the suspect was driving when he was arrested.
Police say investigators have not yet recovered the engagement ring.
An all cash bond has been set for Wright at $100,000.
