Mother, son allegedly steal thousands in cash, drugs from Hazelwood home

 (KMOV) – Police in Hazelwood have a mother and son in custody, accused of stealing thousands worth of prescription pills during a home burglary in September.

Kimberly Cheatham, 39, and her son Rondal Wells, 20, face felony charges of second-degree burglary, stealing over $500 and stealing a controlled substance. .

According to the arrest reports, Wells broke into a home on the 100 block of Elbring Avenue on September 28 and stole $9,000 in cash and prescription pills from a safe.

Cheatham allegedly stood as a lookout and drove the getaway car.

Both were later caught and  placed in police custody.
