(KMOV) –A St. Louis man was charged with abuse after prosecutors say he knowingly burned an infant in hot water earlier in 2013.
Police say the incident happened in February at a home in the 2700 block of Rottingdean Drive.
Larry Neal, 25, is charged with placing a five-year-old child in a bathtub that was filled with hot water. The water caused second-degree burns to the boy's feet and ankles.
Neal was reportedly the boyfriend of the child’s mother. She was not at the home at the time of the incident.
The St. Louis Circuit Court charged Neal with one count of felony abuse or neglect of a child.
Bond for Larry Neal was set at $100,000 cash-only.
