GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A 48-year-old Granite City man is facing multiple charges for a police chase that ended at his home.

Authorities report Delancey D. Haynes has been charged with aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers.

According to reports, the chase started when a deputy attempted to pull over Haynes on Monday around 3:15 a.m. because he had a suspended registration. Instead of yielding to the deputy, Haynes drove away.

While fleeing, Haynes reportedly ran a red light. He later turned into an alley in the 2300 block of Madison Avenue and stopped at his home.

Haynes was arrested by the pursuing officer. The officer also determined Haynes’ license was suspended. He is being held on $25,000 bond.
