(KMOV) – An Alton man saw a great deal on a cell phone on Facebook and decided to meet up with the sellers, but he soon realized the deal was too good to be true.

Justin Allsman agreed to meet three men at an East Alton McDonald’s parking-lot off Broadway. When he gave the men $175 for the phone, the men gave him the wrong phone and ran off to a waiting getaway car.

“I was like, damn I’m being robbed. I was shocked. I was more worried about my girlfriend when I saw the gun,” said Allsman.

Allman said the man hit him with a pistol and they had a bat sitting in the center console of their car. While the assault continued, he tried holding onto the car while the men sped off.

“They probably [dragged] me like 100 feet,” said Allman.

Alton Police arrested one suspect, 18-year-old Rebecca Starnes. But police are still looking for more suspects.

“[Police] said well this happened the night before too, but we didn’t have any leads,” said Allsman.
