(KMOV) – A husband and wife face charges for allegedly stealing about $100,000 during a bank robbery in O’Fallon, Ill. last year.

Steve Dodson, 45, and Denise Dodson, 43, were indicted Tuesday on charges of bank robbery and conspiracy to commit bank robbery.

According to court documents, Steve Dodson was wearing a mask when he held up two female employees at the Scott Credit Union on Highway 50 on May 24, 2013.

After taking the money, Steve Dodson fled the store and got into a getaway vehicle being driven by his wife.

Authorities say both Steve and Denise Dodson had been serving sentences in the Illinois Department of Corrections for a previous burglary charge.

They are currently being held in federal custody without bond. Their trial date is scheduled for Aug. 25.

If convicted, they face up to 25 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
