Man, woman charged with letting 3 teens drink in Metro East

MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KMOV) – Two Metro-East residents are in custody after they allegedly allowed several underage teens to drink alcohol in Edwardsville on Saturday.

Trina Huene, 45, and Christopher Huene, 46, were each charged with three counts of permitting a violation of the liquor control act.

According to deputies, officers responded to the Huene residence in the 130 block of Timbermill Lane around 10:30 p.m. after getting reports of underage drinking.

Officers arrived to the scene and saw about 30 vehicles parked along both sides of the road in front of their house.

Deputies said several people ran into the woods behind the house after seeing officers arrive.

Deputies said they located three teenagers, one 17-year -old and two 16-year-olds, who had been drinking alcohol. Those three were released to a parent.

Both Trina and Christopher Huene were taken into custody and given $3,000 bond.
