(KMOV.com) – A man and woman face charges after police say they gave a teenager alcohol and drugs, then sexually assaulted her.

Anthony Redden, Jr, 36, and Jennifer Smith, 33, have been charged with multiple accounts of sexual assault.

Authorities allege they lured a 15-year-old girl to a room at the Comfort Inn off Interstate 55 in Collinsville, where they sexually assaulted her after giving her drugs and alcohol.

Police said they arrested Smith and later found Redden, Jr. hiding in St. Louis, where they took him into custody.

According to police, the suspects are friends with the victim’s family.

“They did know each other and she did trust them, otherwise she wouldn't have gone there,” said. Lieutenant Todd Link  with the Collinsville Police Department.

Both suspects are each being held in the Madison County Jail on $200,000 bond.
