ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV) – A north St. Louis County man is accused of stealing more than $500 from his 4-year-old nephew’s piggy bank last summer.

Baron Calmese Jr., 30, was charged with one count of felony stealing after he allegedly used the money to buy drugs and prostitutes.

According to police, Calmese asked his sister, the mother of the victim, if he could borrow some change. She gave Calmese permission to take $2 from the boy’s bank.

Police said Calmese took all the money he could get out of the child’s bank before leaving the house.

Calmese was initially jailed on bond, but released on his own recognizance.

He is currently awaiting trial.
