BRENTWOOD (KMOV) – Authorities on Friday arrested a man accused of robbing a bank inside a Brentwood grocery store last week.
Michael Abbott, 28, was charged with first-degree robbery.
According to police, Abbott approached the First National Bank inside the Dierbergs in the 8400 block of Eager Rd. around 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 7.
Police said he walked up to the teller and handed over a note demanding money. He was then given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. Authorities said Abbott implied he had a weapon but nobody saw him show one.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation led police to Abbott, who was arrested and taken into custody.
Surveillance photos showed the suspect was a white man wearing a white baseball hat and black sweatshirt. No other description was available.
