UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police say they have captured a man who murdered a mother and her son in University City last October.
Carlos Suber, 21, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Phebe Stallings, 54, and her son Mosary Stallings, 23.
According to police, officers were called to the Cunningham Business Park near the intersection of Sutter and Chamberlin on Oct. 29. Upon arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to the hospital, where they later died.
Police say Suber was believed to have been making threats to the victims before the shooting.
Authorities had previously released composite sketches of three men they believed may have been involved. Officials have not said whether the two other men are still considered suspects in the case.
