(KMOV.com) – Police have charged a man accused in a fatal stabbing on Laclede’s Landing on March 10.
Darael Fentress, 29, was charged Thursday with voluntary manslaughter and armed criminal action.
According to police, 28-year-old Kyle Roberts came out of a bar in the 100 block of Laclede’s Landing Blvd. around 2 a.m. when he got into a verbal dispute with Fentress.
That’s when police say Fentress stabbed Roberts in the neck. Roberts was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities say Fentress fled the scene before officers arrived.
An investigation eventually led them to Fentress, who was arrested and taken into custody.
The fatal stabbing happened less than 24 hours after a shooting left a man in critical condition on Laclede’s Landing.
But police said they did not plan to increase patrols at Laclede’s Landing despite the violent incident.
While some Laclede’s Landing business owners said they are not concerned, others said the attacks may keep some customers away.
