(KMOV.com) – A 22-year-old man accused of shooting an off-duty police officer in north St. Louis faces serious charges from the November 13 incident.
According to police, the victim, a 32-year-old St. Louis Police officer with 11 years of service, and his sister asked David Williams and another acquaintance to leave her residence.
Williams, 22, later returned after being escorted from the house located in the 5900 block of Lalite and shot the off-duty police officer in the leg. The victim returned fire and retreated back into the residence as Williams fled on foot.
The off-duty officer was taken to a hospital and was listed as stable.
On Wednesday, the Circuit Attorney’s Office issued at-large warrants for first-degree Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, first-degree Assault and two counts of Armed Criminal Action against Williams.
