(KMOV.com) – Police told News 4 they have arrested a serial burglar who they believe broke into homes in St. Ann.

Police said a 24-year-old man stole digital cameras, coins, stamps, antique guns and more.

“Xbox games, controllers, knives, playing cards, you name it, he took it,” St. Ann Chief of Police Aaron Jimenez said.

Jiminez said the suspect snuck into at least eight homes by entering through unlocked windows before stuffing items into a backpack. However, police said he would sometimes carry stolen items out in the open.

“In one he was able to walk out with a 60 inch flat screen TV,” Jiminez.

One victim told News 4 he came home one day and found his house had been burglarized. He said the suspect took family heirlooms.

“There was a lot of stuff on that table and I’m glad St. Ann police diligently did their work and found the man,” David Lind said.

Police said a series of tips led them to a house where they found a stash of items the suspect stole. Authorities said he may be linked to burglaries in St. Louis City. Police have not identified the suspect because he has yet to be charged.
