(KMOV.com) — A man was arrested in St. Clair county after sheriff’s deputies say he fled the scene of two intentionally set fires.
According to officers, a call came out at 10:15 Thursday morning that a subject was setting fire to a motorcycle in St. Libory.
Chief Casey Trentman of the St. Libory Volunteer Firefighters was first on scene, and reported the suspect was intentionally setting a motorcycle on fire. When Trentman began putting the fire out with an extinguisher, the suspect began pouring ether on the fire as well as spraying Trentman with it.
The suspect ran into a nearby apartment and started another fire.
When he attempted to flee out the back of the building, he was apprehended by St. Clair County Sheriff’s deputies. No other information on the suspect or incident was available.
