PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A man accused of child molestation is in custody after a teacher reported the alleged abuse on a state hotline.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office was notified of the child molestation allegations on October 28. Deputies interviewed two children about the incident.

Thomas Wesley Brigance, 43, is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with two children, ages 8 and 10. The children told authorities Brigance also hit them with open fists.

Deputies interviewed a teacher who had reported the abuse on the state hotline after she spoke with the two children.

Brigance was arrested November 16 and was charged with two counts of first degree child molestation and two counts of abuse or neglect of a child.

He posted $250,000 bond and was released a few hours later.
