(KMOV.com) – Pulaski County officers arrested a man and woman on Sunday on suspicion of heroin possession after commuters called police and reported a suspicious vehicle on a Dixon, Missouri roadway.
According to reports, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office received several calls about the car parked along Creek Road. The callers said the vehicle was an older model car with a woman lying beside it and a man acting strange.
When deputies arrived, the man ran into a wooded area. The woman was found to be under the influence of some type of substance. Further investigation revealed the woman was in possession of a spoon with a substance on it that appeared to be heroin, deputies reported.
The officers were able to locate the male subject in the woods. He was found to have an active felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Both subjects were checked by medics before being taken to the Pulaski County Jail.
At the jail, the female suspect was booked into custody and then released pending the results of a lab test on the substance found on the spoon. She has not been charged with a crime, so her name is not being released.
The male subject, identified as Brian K. Pratt, 26, from St. Robert, Missouri, posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
