FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Il. – A Metro-East police officer was arrested for driving under the influence on St. Patrick’s Day.
James Krummerich, 47, was involved in a traffic accident around 5:45 p.m. in the 900 block of North Illinois and appeared intoxicated at the time, according to Belleville police.
Krummerich was booked and released after posting bond.
The Belleville News Democrat reports he has been an officer at the Fairview Heights Police Department for 15 years.
