(KMOV.com) – A Kimmswick jewelry store is looking to update security after an overnight break-in on
December 20.

According to the owner of Mississippi Mud Gallery & Gifts, Betteanne Smith, burglars broke into store after it closed for business on December 20.

Once inside, thieves had a plan. Smith said they didn’t break any display cases and did not take any cash. Instead, they stole original handcrafted jewelry and Pandora branded pieces.

The total loss was around $50,000 for the shop.

Smith plans to upgrade security.
