Jesse Jackson Jr. moved from prison in North Carolina to a prison in Alabama

(KMOV) -- Former U.S Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. has been moved from a federal prison in North Carolina to a minimum security prison in Alabama.

Jackson Jr., 49, is serving a two and a half year sentence after admitting to illegally using campaign money.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, Jackson is set to be released December 31, 2015.
