BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) -- Daniel Hagen was indicted Friday for burglarizing two vehicles, including a police car.

Hagen, 21, of Lenzburg, Ill., was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon,a class X felony; aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and possession of a stolen firearm and two counts of burglary to a motor vehicle.

According to authorities, Hagen broke into two cars on the 100 block of River Laurel and stole several items, including a duty weapon, from an East St. Louis police officer’s vehicle.

It was also reported that Hagen also stole several items from a nearby vehicle that was unlocked.

Both Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, burglary and Possession of a Stolen Firearm are class 2 felonies.

Bail for Hagen has been set at $500,000.
