EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- A 19-year-old southern Illinois woman is accused in a man’s heroin death last week.
Prosecutors in Madison County charged Elizabeth Brown of Pierron with one count of drug-induced homicide.
Authorities allege that Brown provided heroin to 18-year-old Charles Gammon, whose body was found last Friday in his Troy home. Investigators say Brown had given Gammon the heroin just two hours before emergency responders were summoned.
Online court records do not show whether Brown has an attorney. She does not have a listed home telephone number.
The homicide charge is punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
