LAKE ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – A hitchhiker told a police officer he would have killed her if she disrupted his carjacking mission Friday.
 
Christian Middleton, 21, was hitchhiking at Prospect Road and Woodlake Court when he started to pull a handgun on the officer before he was ordered to put his hands in the air.
 
According to the police report, Middleton was quoted as saying he would have killed the officer had she interfered in his mission which was to carjack someone and drive to Chicago.

Middleton has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon and bond has been set at $100,000.
