CRESTWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A woman said she came home to find her parked car side-swiped by another vehicle that is said to have fled the scene. Police are now looking for the driver.
Crestwood Police said they do not have many leads. They say only know that the car was parked outside of a home on Sappington between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., and another car heading southbound rammed into the parked vehicle and left the scene. Damaged pieces of the vehicle were spread out on Sappington.
Irma Saller and her daughter came home to find the entire driver’s side wrecked.
“Now I need another car. I’m a single mom. I have three girls. It’s not that easy,” said Saller.
The driver of the hit and run vehicle left behind a fender. Saller said a neighbor heard the collisioin and saw a silver or grey truck with no signage, speeding down the road.
“Hopefully, somebody knows something, as insignificant as it may seem,” said Saller.
