(KMOV.com) -- A Granite City man was charged with multiple drug counts after police said they allegedly found meth and drug paraphernalia on the suspect.

Authorities stated they responded to a home in the 3100 block of Chain of Rocks Road for a domestic disturbance and found Raymond Fischer, 31, inside the home. However, police said Fischer was not involved in the domestic disturbance.

Police discovered Fischer had an active warrant out for his arrest for a traffic violation. That’s when officers arrested Fischer and he was searched.

According to a police statement, they found drug paraphernalia and a small bag of meth in Fischer’s possession.

Fischer was charged with one felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
