Granite City man accused of choking wife, shooting at step-son

 (KMOV) – A Granite City man is behind bars and accused of shooting at a teenager after choking his wife on Sunday.

Trevor Bone, 40, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated domestic battery.

Police say Bone was choking his wife at a home in the 5100 block of Lakeview Dr. around 2 p.m. when her teen jumped in to pull him off.

According to the report, an argument between the two escalated when Bone armed himself with a handgun.

Police say as the argument continued outside the home, Bone fired two shots toward the teen. No one was injured in the incident.

Authorities recovered the gun shortly after arriving to the scene. Further details into their investigation were not released.

Bone remains in custody on a $100,000 bond.
