(KMOV.com) — Alton police have taken the final of four suspects wanted in connection to a home invasion into custody.

The home invasion happened on Jan 16 in the 1300 block of Pearl Street.

Officers responded after a 911 call requested an ambulance to the scene. After arriving on scene, it was apparent the victim had been severely injured from an apparent home invasion.

According to police, the investigation revealed that four suspects. Rachel Barnes, 24, Christopher Hill, 27, DeMarco Smith, 20, and Curtis Wallace, 38, reportedly went to the home of the victim, a 55-year-old male, to rob him.

While there, officers say, Hill and Wallace took the plan further, beating the victim with a gun, pipe wrench and their fists and feet and stabbing the victim with a knife. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack, but was later stabilized and discharged from the hospital.

All four suspects live in St. Louis. Barnes and Smith are charged with armed robbery and home invasion and have a bond of $150,000. Hill and Wallace share those charges but are also charged with attempted murder. Their bond is $250,000.
