4 shootings reported in St. Louis in less than 24 hours

(KMOV) -- Four shootings have occurred in St. Louis in less than 24 hours and one of the victims is in critical condition.

On Saturday, a 16-year-old was walking in the 3100 block of Michigan when someone in a grey minivan drove past and fired shots, striking the teen twice in the back. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A 20-year-old was shot by two suspects inside a park in the 2400 block of N. Spring. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition and no suspects have been arrested. 

Another teen was shot in a parking lot in the 5000 block of Gravois on Sunday. He was treated at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.

One suspect was arrested after a 21-year-old was shot in the 2000 block of Agnes. The victim was treated at the hospital and released. 

Police say 40 homicides have already occurred in St. Louis since the beginning of 2014. Five of them have been reported since April 6.
