(KMOV.com) – Authorities said one person was killed after a car into a fire hydrant in north St. Louis Wednesday night.

Neighbors said a vehicle lost control and hit a fire hydrant on the 4200 block of Enright. The car flipped and landed on Loyde Henley, 56, who was sitting on his porch t around 7:30 p.m.

According to police, Henley was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others on the porch at the time were not injured

Authorities said two people then got out of the car and fled.

Neighbors said that cars speed up and down the block all the time. They also said a man was arrested at the scene yesterday. Police would not confirm.
