(KMOV.com) – The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of sexually exploiting a child.

Authorities say the suspect, known as John Doe 28, had engaged in sexually explicit activities with a child which were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November of 2012.

Investigators for the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have enhanced images depicting the suspect they hope will help the public identify him.

In a video obtained by the FBI, the suspect is seen wearing wire-framed glasses and a burgundy t-shirt with what appears to be a shark logo on his left side. In the same video the subject and victim are seen sitting in a residence that has a blue sofa chair and a picture hanging on the wall in the background.

The FBI says the suspect looks to be in his 30s or 40s and has a receding hairline.

Anyone who believes they know the suspect is asked to submit a tip online at or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
