Police seek help identifying Edwardsville bank robbery suspect

(KMOV.com) – The Edwardsville Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect of a bank robbery which occurred early Monday afternoon.

Police received a report of a robbery that occurred at Scott Credit Union in Edwardsville at 1067 S. State Rt. 157 at approximately 2:11 p.m.

After entering the Scott Credit Union, the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money and inferred he possessed a weapon.  The suspect then fled on foot northbound across the parking lot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male between 20 – 25 years of age, six feet tall, wearing a dark green fedora, dark green windbreaker jacket and tan slacks.
